OnePlus recently launched its new device in India in an affordable price range, OnePlus Nord. It is a hell of a Phone for an affordable price. OnePlus Nord was launched in India on 21st July 2020. This device is one of the mid-range smartphone devices offered by OnePlus with the best quality features. Usually, OnePlus offers smartphones in a number series but this time they have named it Nord which means North.
Design and Display:
Look wise OnePlus Nord is not that different from the other OnePlus devices. But camera positioning is different for Nord and also slight changes in display look. The cameras are placed at the corner, unlike other devices where the cameras are placed at the center.
OnePlus Nord comes with a 6.44 inch Full HD Display which has a refresh rate of 90 HZ and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The type of touchscreen display used for Nord is Fluid AMOLED capacitive touchscreen giving it a stunning look.
OnePlus Nord has a plastic frame used for the body and has dimensions of 158.3 x 73.3 x 8.2 mm (6.23 x 2.89 x 0.32 in).

Like other devices, OnePlus Nord also comes with a Quad camera set-up with 48MP Primary camera, 8MP Ultra-wide camera, 5MP Depth camera, and 2MP Macro camera. This device also comes with dual selfie cameras of 32MP wide range and 8MP ultra-wide range.
Nord has 48MP same primary sensor as the OnePlus 8 that is Sony IMX586 that has Optical Image Stabilization(OIS) which removes shakiness and blur. The best feature of the camera is nightscape mode takes up to nine different images and puts them together to get a good quality image in low light. It also records video in 4K at 30fps from the primary camera and records video in 4K at 30fps/60fps from the front selfie camera.
Battery:
OnePlus Nord is provided with a Non-removable Li-Po 4115 mAh battery with 30W fast charging that charges the battery from 0 to 70% in 30 mins.
Performance:
OnePlus Nord comes with an Octa-core processor with CPU speed of 1×2.4 GHz Kryo 475 Prime & 1×2.2 GHz Kryo 475 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 475 Silver. It also comes with an Android 10 operating system and OxygenOS 10.5.4 that gives a smooth performance.
Features and Price:
OnePlus Nord comes with Dual Sim (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) and there is No Dedicated micro-SD card slot. OnePlus Nord comes with an In-display fingerprint sensor and also supports the face unlock feature.

OnePlus Nord comes in three variants, 6GB RAM 64GB ROM for the price of Rs. 24,999, 8GB RAM 128GB ROM for the price of Rs. 27,999, 12GB RAM 256GB ROM for the price of Rs. 29,999.
OnePlus Nord will be available in two color variants- Blue Marble, Gray Onyx.
Conclusion:
The only noticeable downside of this device is that it does not have a 3.5mm audio jack. However, OnePlus has filled the void by launching OnePlus’s first-ever truly wireless earphones called OnePlus buds. OnePlus is really amping up the competition by entering OnePlus Nord within mid-range pricing. It will be interesting to see how the competition turns out to be.
